Software as a Service is Key to The Service Business

The Service Business is one of the UK’s leading providers of consulting services to the service supply chain sector, focussing exclusively on the service, or aftermarket, supply chain. Being practitioners, not academics, their services deliver real and sustainable bottom line results.

N/A (July 01, 2009) – The Service Business has chosen Snapfulfil as their key partner for their latest major contract.

In Kind Direct, one of The Prince’s Trust Charities, has awarded its UK warehousing and distribution services contract to The Service Business. This involves managing the inbound collection of donated goods and the receipt, sortation, storage, redistribution and transportation of products directly to the doors of around 3,000 charities throughout the UK. This operation produces a number of unique challenges, due to the varied nature of the donations received from their Blue Chip benefactors.

Following an in-depth review, Snapfulfil was selected for this project, as it not only provided the sophisticated functionality required to handle these challenges, but also offered the cost effectiveness required to ensure that this very worthwhile charity could continue to divert maximum resources to its charitable work.

Another key benefit was the rapid deployment made possible by the Snapfulfil managed service approach. This contract will deliver significant savings to the charity, against its current supplier and they are understandably keen to commence operations as soon as possible (January 2009) ensuring that the monthly savings can be realised ASAP. The Snapfulfil rapid implementation plan is helping this goal become a reality, whilst still catering for all of the operational requirements laid out by In Kind Direct.

Snapfulfil are proud to be working with such a worthwhile cause and look forward to helping The Service Business and In Kind Direct to meet their challenging targets.
