Manhattan Associates Earns Key Accolades in AMT Group’s ‘Annual Top-lists of Business Software in China, 2009’

Manhattan named winner in ‘Top 10 Business Software in SCM Industry’ and ‘Top 10 Business Software in Logistics Industry’ categories

SHANGHAI and ATLANTA (January 05, 2010) –

Global supply chain optimisation provider Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH) has won the ‘Supply Chain Management (SCM) Industry’ and ‘Logistics Industry’ category awards at AMT Group’s ‘Annual Top-lists of Business Software in China, 2009’. Manhattan was announced winner of the awards following a short-listing of ten leading business software providers in each category. The awards ceremony was held in December at the Sofitel Jinjiang Oriental Pudong Hotel in Shanghai. More than 300 people, including government officials, representatives from end-user organisations in retail, distribution and manufacturing as well as professionals from China’s IT industry gathered for the awards ceremony to announce the 2009 winners of these coveted awards.

Whilst the global financial crisis has impacted the software industry in China, the industry has maintained a year-on-year growth rate of around 20% (China IT Software Industry Association). The software industry has registered one of the highest growth rates amongst industry sectors in China during 2009.

The ‘Annual Top-lists of Business Software in China’ is organised by AMT Group, China’s leading and most popular IT / Management website, in conjunction with the ‘China IT Software Industry Association’. AMT’s Annual Top-lists are renowned and respected amongst professionals across China’s IT industry. Past winners include Microsoft, IBM, Alcatel, UFIDA, Blackberry and Salesforce.com. The whole award nomination and judgment process lasted about 3 months, and attracted applications from software companies with operations in mainland China as well as in Hong Kong and Taiwan, serving clients across a variety of industry sectors including manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, retail, hi-tech and finance. The awards themselves extend across many software segments including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), SCM, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Software-as-a -Service (SaaS), and Business Intelligence (BI).

Jeff Baum, Manhattan Associates’ senior vice president, International (Asia Pacific), commented, “This is the first time we have won an award at this prestigious annual event. We were delighted to have been shortlisted in both the SCM and Logistics categories, however winning in both categories is truly a great honour. I would like to dedicate these awards to Manhattan’s team in China for the focus and commitment they have consistently shown in serving the fast-growing client base we now have in China. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those companies that have chosen Manhattan as their supply chain technology partner in China and that continue to rely on our innovative and constantly-evolving solutions to support their current and future business strategies.”
