Global Logistics Giant Builds Presence in Czech Republic with Manhattan Associates

MOL Logistics Selects Manhattan Associates’ Supply Chain Solutions to Manage Distribution Facilities as it Grows Local Business

LONDON and ATLANTA (June 07, 2007) –

Leading supply chain solutions provider, Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH), today announced that MOL Logistics (Czech) s.r.o., the subsidiary of the global giant MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd., has deployed the Warehouse Management component of Manhattan Associates’ Integrated Logistics Solutions(TM), built on Microsoft .NET at two warehouses in the Czech Republic. The logistics services specialist has already reported improvements in visibility and productivity as well as greater control of operations and procedures.

The company initially worked with Manhattan Associates to provide a service for its first customer in the Czech Republic, a global air conditioning company. In the first instance MOL Logistics installed Manhattan Associates’ .NET native Warehouse Management solution as a standalone system before integrating it with the customer’s proprietary and SAP solutions. The success of this project led to MOL Logistics’ acquisition of a second client, a leading plasma and LCD television manufacturer, for which the company also turned to Manhattan Associates’ Warehouse Management solution.

The two sites, 7,500m2 and 16,000m2 respectively, are both located at Plsen, a city on a major truck route connecting Germany and the Czech Republic. The new site has already handled over 900,000 serial numbers with no loss of data in its first nine months. MOL Logistics can share information with its customer down to a minute level of detail, providing complete visibility of goods movement. MOL Logistics’ customer can view the serial number of a unit and ascertain exactly who has handled that unit at what time. Moreover it is possible to identify the person who loaded the unit into the lorry, the licence plate of the vehicle, the destination of the delivery and the time of arrival in the warehouse.

“We’ve been delighted with results so far and believe that the key to Manhattan Associates’ success lies not only in its products, but also in the knowledge, approach and attitude of its staff,” said Jonathan Bisek, general manager of MOL Logistics in the Czech Republic. “MOL Logistics is a global company and has a worldwide partnership with Manhattan Associates. The proven scalability and flexibility of the company’s software makes it an obvious choice for a growing organisation such as ours. We are now firmly established in the Czech Republic and will certainly be using Manhattan Associates’ solutions as a tool to help further expand our operations.”

“MOL Logistics is a great example of how a global company can operate as a local business as it expands into new regions,” commented Steve Smith, vice president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Manhattan Associates. “We are very pleased that our work with MOL Logistics has afforded us the opportunity to demonstrate the flexibility and scalability of our warehouse management solutions and that we are able to play a part in the continued success of the company.”
